First Draft Dallas, Over the Bridge Arts: Featuring new works by: Beckles Dancing Company, Mixtamotus, Alondra Puentes, Annalise Boydston/Sarah Tran, Alexandra Light, Sarah Matzke, Tina Mullone and Lori Sundeen Soderbergh. Supported by Moody Fund for the Arts and The Halperin Foundation. Co-presented by Over the Bridge Arts and Beckles Dancing Company. Embodied Theology Workshops: The whole triune being is engaged in a seeded theological experience; a designated period of deep personal and spiritual analysis. Participants form a greater understanding of the dynamic relationship of Creator and Created through guided somatic movement. Examined through these workshops are the body as a holding chamber for joy and trauma. Our goal becomes release, re-connection and repair. Workshops are open to all levels. No previous dance training or experience is needed. Five people minimal. Email or message to set up your personal time with friends, family, colleagues, or peers.

Generous Movers : Donation-based movement meditation and prayer class open to all, not just those classically trained in dance. Generous Movers presents an opportunity for embodied conversation with the Divine through guided tasks, creative writing, and art/movement making. Class gathers outside at White Rock Lake’s Winfrey Point.

Modern Archive: Donation-based Contemporary Modern hosted in unconventional architectural sites around the DFW area. Live music at each Archive by Parker Anderson and friends.

Advanced Contemporary: This class presents the opportunity for physical exploration and the empowerment of the thinking/doing body. Awareness drives the work. Prerequisites include intermediate to advanced experience moving bones, and understanding you are human not machine.Dance Gathering @ Arts Mission Oak Cliff, Sunday December 15, 10:00-12:30pm as a closing event to the weekend long Dance Gathering. Generous Movers is a donation-based movement meditation and prayer class. Open to all, not just those classically trained in dance, Generous Movers presents an opportunity for the whole body to connect to the creative spirit flowing through all of us. Participants are invited into an embodied conversation with the divine. All classes are donation based; money collected goes to support others in the community.

Texas Dance Improv Festival, October 18, 11:15-1:15pm at the University of North Texas. Marley Skin – An Investigation into Floorwork: Participants are invited to connect to the ground through a focused investigation of floorwork. Using principles of weight, balance/counter balance, sensory motor processing and haptic sensation, individual and collective paradigms are formed. Embraced through this class are the residual lines of experience, the scars made visible on the studio floor and skin as a result of time, force, and pressure. Open to all levels.
